Status Development
Release Date TBA 2010
Release Pattern Wide
Directed by TBA
Starring Tom Cruise (Valkyrie, Lions for Lambs)
Genre Thriller
Studio United Artists
Written by Christopher McQuarrie (Valkyrie, The Usual Suspects)

About Tom Cruise as one of many super-powered government agents. Christopher McQuarrie adapts the script based on the 1960's British television series and co-produces with Guillermo del Toro.

My 5 cents Tom needs to decide which of his many projects on his plate will be next!

Recommendation Despite what films next for Tom, $25 of pop is pretty good for a star like him. Buy

Directed by Stephen Gaghan (Syriana, Abandon)
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio (Revolutionary Road, Blood Diamond)

About the popular nonfiction book Blink. Malcolm Gladwell’s book is an engaging look at how people make choices.

My 5 cents Not too much available on this project except both star and director have bigger films they are working on.

Recommendation Short, I know its a bold move but Leo's dramas don't make much hsx money as they tend to go through the indie route around oscar time.

A Couple of Cops (2COPS)

A Couple of Cops
(2COPS)

IPOed Mar 16, 2009 @ H$30.00
Status Development
Release Date Jan 29, 2010
Release Pattern Wide
Directed by Kevin Smith (Zack & Miri, Jay & Silent Bob)
Starring Bruce Willis (Live free or die hard, Grindhouse) & Tracy Morgan (Tvs 30 Rock, First Sunday)
Genre Action / Comedy
Studio Warner Bros.
Written by Robb and Marc Cullen (debut)

About Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan are A Couple of Cops. The comedy is about a pair of detectives looking for a stolen baseball card and a Mexican beauty while getting caught up with gangsters.

My 5 cents Alongside todays other buddy cop flick this looks b-grade. Kevin Smith should give it credibility but his box office results speak for itself. A release date does give it some weight, but a stolen baseball card? sounds more like a made for tv/nickelodeon movie.

Recommendation Short, remember showtime?

The B Team (BTEAM)

The B Team

IPOed Mar 16, 2009 @ H$40.00

Starring Mark Wahlberg (Max Payne, The Departed) & Will Ferrell (Step Brothers, Semi-Pro)
Genre Action / Comedy
Studio Sony
Written by Adam McKay (Talladega Nights) & Chris Henchy (Land of the Lost)

About Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg team up for the buddy-cop comedy The B Team.

My 5 cents Bad ass meets goofy clown, Wahlberg can slip into this role as many of his action films he's played the law however it may be more of a challenge for Ferrell, neither less a funny one at that!

Recommendation Putting my love of both actors aside and being professional I'd say BUY BUY BUY. BUY BUY BUY

Release Pattern Wide
Directed by TBA
Starring Byung-hun Lee (G.I. Joe, Three Extremes)
Genre Action/Adventure
Studio Warner Bros.
Written by David Hayter (X-Men, Watchmen)

About The popular Capcom video game Lost Planet will be adapted into a film budgeted for $150-200 million. The action adventure centers on Wayne Holden and his mission at a secret military compound on a remote island. Byung-hun Lee played the character in the game.

My 5 cents The game itself hasn't got that big of a following compared to the likes of Halo or Warcraft etc, Lee is very unknown but has Warner's and a good scribe on deck. Plus that 200 mil budget tag and a possible 2010 release?

Recommendation Short, not confident either way. Really not sure how players will play it, some lesser known Saturday Ipos have been dropping lately should follow trend, can't really see it making to much if any increase on first day on exchange.
