About Set in 117 A.D., Centurion centers on the Roman efforts in Britain to demolish the Picts. The only survivor of a Pictish raid, Quintas Dias (Fassbender) marches with General Virilus’ Ninth Legion to take out the Picts led by Gorlacon.

My 5 cents This has alot going for it, both Fassbender and West starred in another similar movie in 300, Fassbender will be well known once people see his performance in Hunger and director Marshall has done these action, thriller films pretty well. Did I mention Olga?

Recommendation 300 showed how these epics should and could be made, hopefully this will follow, not be another troy or alexander. Buy

About Angel stars Romola Garai as a romance novelist from the poor tenements who finds fame and fortune during the early 20th Century.

My 5 cents Director Ozon and Rampling reunite once again, their previous Swimming Pool delisted around H$10 but was distributed by focus not IFC. Sounds very much like Sylvia which only made 1.3m.

Recommendation Buy, there might be a market for this as Oscar season fades out, plus whats H$2?

About follows four interconnecting stories revolving around love, drugs and poverty in Philadelphia

My 5 cents Sadly these indies don't make much (nor cost much to make), but do make a good watch. A mix of hollywood up and comers with some regs of the indie scene.

Recommendation Pass, H$2 isn't alot (especially since it's fake $) but its just going to be a filler in your port that won't do too much. Short it within last 4 weeks on HSX (may?) if its BRA which is normally the case.

About Details are scarce for the film which will shoot in London during summer 2009.

My 5 cents Another acclaimed cast assembled to work with woody. After VCB and match point, his films are not as cut and dry anymore with regards to box office numbers. At $8 its already more than his next film ready for release this summer?

Recommendation There are good signs with the quality of the cast and international feel (London) therefore universal unlike the NY ones. Plus a start date of summer (which is literally around the corner) and the fact the Cruz just one an Oscar for VCB all boades well. Buy.

About The film is set in the year 2085 when society is in a state of utopia. When a crime wave begins, a task force led by a man named Joe Tezca is assembled to take care of the disturbance.

My 5 cents Rodriguez does good box office numbers however like buddy Tarantino they are overpriced (which is a good thing) while his kiddie movies rack in more dosh and this is set for April not summer. Comparisons, alot like 5th Element, Battlefield earth, babylon ad, doomsday, resident evil, you get the drift...

Recommendation Wow that will be fast, in cinemas this time next year, buy now.

Genre Comedy
Studio Sony
Written by Adam Sandler (Eight Crazy Nights, Big Daddy) & David Spade (Joe Dirt, Dickie Roberts)

About Adam Sandler brings his Happy Madison buddies together for the Columbia comedy formerly titled Mad Families. Five best friends from high school who reunite in a camping trip over the Fourth of July.

My 5 cents Despite the recent recession, someones gone out spending, perhaps the five have taken a pay cut? Well Spade and Schneider will be just glad to get a pay cheque meanwhile James can't miss at the box office and we all know Sandler and Rock are solid performers. Wild Hogs proves that this type of casting for comedies can score well in cinemas, and with the five buddies who have all worked together previously, chemistry shouldn't be a problem whereas each one will be trying to outdo the next which should make for an even funnier film.

Recommendation Every Sandler stock gets close or over H$100 prior to release so therefore $50 a pop now will be a good investment, looks like its in the works too. The all star line up will have many a fans drooling with excitement.

About Camille Belle will star as Mary, Mother of Christ in the biblical story from the New Testament. The cast also stars Al Pacino as King Herod, Peter O’Toole as Symeon, Jessica Lange as Anna the Prophetess, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers as both angels Gabriel and Lucifer.

My 5 cents Still very young, lead Belle has done her share of blockbusters and teen thrillers so now its time for something more compelling. She will be surrounded by greats of the big screen if they stay with the current cast which seems perfectly assembled. With the passions co-writer it should be dark. Comparisons, The Nativity Story, Passion of the Christ and the Prophecy trilogy?

Recommendation BUY, a handful of familiar faces, a touchy but universal story, guaranteed to hit wide audiences all leads to success at the box office, just hope director Agresti gets it right this time.

About The French film The Girl from Monaco centers on a middle-aged man who is swept up by a woman. The couple then gets tangled up with a murderer and a security guard.

My 5 cents Sounds like you normal run of the mil french dramedy (which they do well), centering on a threesome and with a very much talk able twist at the end.
Recommendation Buy, the fact that it has a release date in July means its going to be around for a while.

Written & Directed by Tristan Patterson (debut)
Starring Carey Mulligan (An Education, When did you last see your father) & Ewan McGregor (Angels & Demons, Deception)
Genre Drama, Crime
Studio TBA

About McGregor portrays the real-life Eddie Dodson "the gentleman bank robber", who robbed 72 banks in the L.A. area order to impress his girlfriend in the 70s & 80s.
My 5 cents The tale seems intriguing enough and with an upcoming talent like Mulligan teaming up with what hopes is a return to form from McGregor there should be enough going for it. However its being helmed by a first timer which is always abit of a risk.

Recommendation Short, filming probably not too soon, and it could fall down the indie route.

About Jennifer Lopez opts for Plan B in her quest to have a baby. Tired of finding a suitable partner, she chooses to undergo artificial insemination. On the day she finds out she is pregnant (with twins), she meets the man of her dreams.

My 5 cents Unlike today's other IPO this comes off really cheesy, ironically it sounds like JLo's story apart from the 3 or is it 4 divorces? The director and writing pair have worked primarily on tv shows.

Recommendation Short, $10 cheaper the BASTR but with a falling star, terrible plot and later start and release date.

The Baster (BASTR)

Starring Jennifer Aniston (Marley and Me, He's just not that into you) & Jason Bateman (Juno, Hancock)

Written by Allan Loeb (21, Things we lost in the fire)

About Aniston is a 40-year-old woman who wants to get pregnant. Bateman plays her best friend who replaces the sperm she chooses with his own. He is then forced to live with the secret that the child is his.

My 5 cents Aniston is bigger than ever and everyone loves Bateman, good pairing. Anistons previous ipo UJAGB was also H$30 and dropped $5 on its first week, but this stock looks alot better investment and will be in production sooner. Comparisons are Juno, this is also from the same production house, Brothers Solomon and Knocked Up.

Recommendation Buy, with HJNTU Aniston shows she is hot at the box office, and the baby thing is big in todays rom coms.

About star in We Want Sex. The film is about a 1968 strike at an English car plant where women demanded equal pay. More than 800 women protested "against sexual discrimination in their job performance evaluations,". The strike was a boost to the women’s rights movement. The title is taken from their 'We Want Sex Equality' banner that got cut off.

My 5 cents British dramas don't light up US cinemas, expect it do to Happy go lucky, Kinky Boots numbers, 2-3m. Could see it as a Bafta prospect.

Recommendation Short, Hawkins recently picked up a GG and should have a following now, but when you look at a similar US film like North Country what Charlize did after winning an Oscar, only managed $18 million, H$8 for this feels over priced.

About British Colonel Percy Fawcett who disappeared in the jungles of the Amazon. Fawcett became obsessed of the idea that there's a lost civilization in the Amazon. He headed into the jungle with his son in 1925 and was never heard from again.

My 5 cents Reports say this will be Brads next film, could be shot mid year ready for a release next year. These stories have been done in the past and badly, Island of Dr Moreau, the ruins etc, and Grays films tend to be very slow and draining, the yards, we own the night.

Recommendation Buy, this is a stronger buy then his other IPO today as it looks like it will go ahead first.

About The story of Oakland A's general manager Billy Beanes successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget, by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players.

My 5 cents Soderberghs announced this will be his next project, it sounds like its more off field then ball park action, bore. Baseball are currently in is darkest days, while Pitt is the biggest star on the planet - weird mix?

Recommendation Buy, is pricey but players will pay for the duo.

About Follows the adventures of Tintin, a bumbling journalist, and his dog Snowy. Peter Jackson will direct the second installment in The Adventures of Tintin. Jamie Bell is the voice of Tintin.

My 5 cents Jackson will likely bring back cast and crew from previous successfull films LOTR and King Kong which is great. The sequel should have a large built in audience from Speilbergs offering and much of the cast should be retained.

Recommendation Easy Buy, the first film, Secret of the Unicorn is currently hovering around H$80 with no relase date (possible 2011) but is sure to hit H$100 and over once a trailer and release date is set. Ipos priced this high are a safe bet to rise through the day.

Genre Legal Drama
Studio TBA
Written by Pamela Gray

About The biographical drama is about a working mother goes to law school to represent her brother who has been wrongfully convicted of murder and has exhausted his chances to appeal his conviction through public defenders

My 5 cents I am one of Swanks least likely fans and cringe at her in this role as it may have oscar potential. I found Rockwell hillarious in last years Choke, which is a shame since he's walking the green mile again in a dramatic role that John C Reily was originally considered for. Minnie Driver, remember her? another actor suited in a more comedic role, she was great in sleepers though. Comparisons, any average courtroom drama, just don't expect twists like in the great ones - Primal Fear and Fracture. It does give off an Erin Brockovich vibe. Director is more known for his TV resume, and has done more romantic comedies in features.

Recommendation Short, could easily be considered a pass as it is likely being fast tracked to be in cinemas this year. This is a better option than Swanks other project, The Resident also Ipoing today.

About Brothers at War chronicles three brothers facing the Iraq War. Two brothers serve in the U.S. military while the youngest opposes their participation.

My 5 cents Iraq and Afgahanstan war films have been a hard sell recently to a split nation, a doco should follow the same path. Comparisons Home of the Brave, American Soldiers and September Tapes.

Recommendation Short, it has a release date of March so you won't have to hold it too long.

About A private detective hired to tail a man from Chicago to L.A. The man is a missing person who was presumed dead after the WTC attacks. Private detective John Rosow is hired to tail a man on a train from Chicago to Los Angeles. Rosow gradually uncovers the man's identity as a missing person; one of the thousands presumed dead after the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Persuaded by a large reward, Rosow is charged with bringing the missing person back to his wife in New York City.

My 5 cents Two faves of mine, Shannon and Ryan are two upcoming actors that are in their prime, Shannons up for this years Oscars and is my pick. Comparisons are The Transsiberian, World Trade Center and The Fugitive. Of note lead Shannon has worked with Ryan in before the devil and Venitmiglia in Jesus Son.

Recommendation Buy, I hope this is Shannon's break out role - there seems to be enough here for him to work with, dark role, twists and all. It is getting good reviews but it looks like its gonna be an indie.

About Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse as they continually torture and outwit each other. The film will show how the duo met and cooperated in order to find their way back home. Computer Whizs will create the CG characters that run around in live-action settings.

My 5 cents The duo will be more familiar to smaller audiences than Yogi, and with a homeward bound/bolt type of cross journey story it should have some substance. Comparisons, Bolt, Lilo & Stitch and Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Recommendation like YOGIB another short, wait for Warner to decide what (if any) project gets a green light first before committing. Warners owns the rights to Hanna-Barbera animations and has had the Jetsons in development hell for years.

My 5 cents Kids of today probably haven't heard of him but I'm sure their parents have. Apart from stealing pickanic baskets for 90 mins I can't think of what else Yogi and boo boo could get up to? please don't say their park is in danger of being chopped down ala FURYV, over the hedge, etc etc. Other comparisons, Curious George and the Country Bears.

About Kutcher plays a former hit man who struggles for survival after he finds out someone from his past has hired a bunch of killers to finish him off.

My 5 cents Would have liked Kutcher do this role without the comedic aspect as he has shown acting chops in The Guardian and Buttefly Effect. This now looks like your common run and fun typical action mob comedy that has been done before again and again. I have faith director Luketic can make it fresh. Comparisons are The Whole Nine Yards, Running Scared and RockNRolla. Production is/was expected early this year...

Recommendation H$20 from troubled Lionsgate? short till we hear some production news and Ashtons back up.

About Centers on a Harlem mother who emotionally abuses her overweight teenage daughter. Claireece "Precious" Jones endures unimaginable hardships in her young life. Abused by her mother, raped by her father, she grows up poor, angry, illiterate, fat, unloved and generally unnoticed. So what better way to learn about her than through her own, halting dialect.

My 5 cents This has alot going for it including success at Sundance, winning both the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award in the U.S. Dramatic Competition, only the third film in Festival history to do so and the earliest talk of Oscar buzz for a couple of its stars. Sherri will get women on board through The View and Oprah is a big fan of it. With some very dark and raw themes attached some of the public may stay clear. There are a couple of other recent titles called precious and also one called push, a name change still may happen. Comparisons The Antwone Fisher Story and The Color Purple.

Recommendation Buy, this could be this years little indy that could, a couple of concerns is that a release date might not be till end of year for an Oscar run and that distributor Lionsgate had a bad year and may not commit to it as much as it would've liked to.

They plan to kidnap the principal’s mother for ransom and get the bird to safety.

My 5 cents Hard to try to sell this stock to investors, not many if any positives it just shouts STV. The Cast is from the early 90s and the director and writer are little known. At H$4 it feels like Xmas but with a release date not till August it will be in your port till at least November.

About In the Oregon wilderness, a real estate developer's new housing subdivision faces a unique group of protesters, local woodland creatures who don't want their homes disturbed. Fraser plays the cutthroat real estate developer. The animals have other ideas about this plan and prove to be a tough match.

My 5 cents This seems feels familiar, not that its was a previously delisted stock (Oct 08) but the actual story has been done and I believe kids now days are smart enough to realise this and with the more original kiddie flicks out there this looks to be dud, again. Comparisons are Over the Hedge, Open Season and a thousand more I could name but choose not to due to time constraints. Fraser is family friendly and has recently had two summer hits a better choice than previous attached Steve Carrell however director Kumble is more known for his romantic comedies. Previously with New Line now Summit Entertainment....

Recommendation Short, its not the cast that count but the characters in kiddie flicks so don't expect big names to support Fraser. If it does start filming in the summer and sticks with a 2010 release could be a good pick up later.

About The children's book series Goosebumps by R.L. Stine will come to the big screen via Columbia Pictures. The best-selling Scholastic stories are horror adventures that usually feature twist endings.

My 5 cents Not much is known about the project, however the writing pair have had critical and box office success in the past with the likes of Man on the Moon, The People vs Larry Flynt and Ed Wood. They have also done kiddie features including that darn cat and agent Cody banks so depending on which way they go, whether sticking to tween thriller concept like in the book and TV series or something darker the pair should have it covered. In my childhood these were the twilight/harry potter books of the time, I never got into them and didn't watch the TV series at the time so I have little knowledge on it. With Sony on board think franchise.

About a drama that focuses on a cellist who loses his job and decides to move back to his hometown, where he starts to work as the local undertaker, ‘encoffineer,’ a funeral professional who prepares the dead. As his family despises his new profession, he comes to love his work and seeks to perfect it.

My 5 cents Nominated for best foreign film (Japan) this year at the Oscars, The Class or Waltz with Bashir are highly favoured over it. No release date is a concern.

Recommendation Regardless if it wins the Oscar or not (highly unlikely), $3 is too steep even if its just fake money, short.

About A documentary on the electric guitar from the point of view of three significant rock musicians: the Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White.

About The film profiles a 1974 concert of R&B performers during the "rumble in the jungle" boxing match between George Foreman and Muhammad Ali held in Zaire. Featuring B.B. King, James Brown, Bill Withers and Celia Cruz.

My 5 cents Concert Doco’s especially ones not in 3D and without today’s tween idols normally don’t attract much box office attention, Young at Heart and The Stone’s Shine a Light both did well which gives this some hope. Comparisons, Standing in the Shadows of Motown and When we were Kings.

Recommendation Pass, the late great James Brown and a summer release are two strong factors, but at $3 I think HSX has it right. I definitely want to see it but for now its a short If I had to choose.

About The book follows a troubled young man (Dano) who gets a teaching job in New York City and ends up living with an "elderly eccentric" (Kline) who spends his time as "the extra man" for rich old women on the East Side.

My 5 cents Boosting a top notch cast for this type of work is a good sign but the material is a hard sell. Any project with part of tomkat is going to get publicity which should help but lead Kline no longer has the pulling power he used to and his previously attempts (Life as a House, Emperor's Club and De-Lovely) only made a little bit more than XTRAM's IPO price $13-15m. Comparisons are Rodger Dodger and Emperor's Club.

Recommendation Its been filmed now ready for a next year release and the cast and directors are star quality. The biggest question is how wide (and if) it will go. For the time being a short is the best option.

About In the New York City underground, gangs get together to compete in illegal dance contests. Two rival gangs go head-to-head with superhuman powers. When one of the leaders falls in love with the sister of his rival, tragedy beckons

My 5 cents Just by reading the stock page, I couldn't think but it sounding like You Got Served, and my spidey sense's were correct as this is from the director of You Got Served who has brought Marques Houston back with him. With recent success from similar teen dance flicks with Step up 2 the streets and How she move, $3 seems a steal. The cast are also familiar faces to the MTV generation, target market. Expect more hipper and dope dance moves to work hand in hand with another lame cheesy story.

Recommendation BUY, distributor Vivendi is a concern, but a possible summer release date makes it attractive.

About
Two people discovering passion for life through swing dancing. Amy Smart plays a bored school teacher who teams up with a swing dance champion, played by Tom Malloy, to win the world title. The two have to keep out all distractions to achieve their goal.

My 5 cents Dancing in the states has never been so hot, so it's no surprise these films continue to be made and pushed into cinemas before the bubble bursts. They're cheap to make, and don't need star power also it has a release date which by then the new dancing with the stars will be in full swing. Comparisons Shall we Dance, Take the Lead and Make it Happen which was traded on the exchange but didn't get a cinematic release.

Recommendation The fact the director was behind She's All That yet responsible for From Justin to Kelly is quite shocking. Still no screen counts, but feels limited therefore a short for now.

About Steve Carell stars as the title character, a soldier who is the bravest, but also the dumbest in Napoleon’s army. Gerard accompanies Napoleon during the heights of his power to his eventual exile. Based on stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

My 5 cents Very little is known about the film, and with Carell doing double duties with TVs the office and his current slate of films he's tied up with, this one might be on the back burner for a while especially since a sequel seems in the works for Get Smart.

Recommendation Short, at $25 you'd think it was being fast tracked and had a director attached. No doubting Carrell is a bankable star but this doesn't seem to suit the mainstream. Should follow the trend of these priced ipos, a slight upward movement first day then a steep fall through the week till some news comes to light.

About True-crime drama about a missing 15-year-old in Melbourne, Australia during 1999 . The young teenage girl goes missing from a very loving home of two sisters and her parents. When attempted, the assistance from expected resources is limited in response to their pleas and the parents begin to experience worry which almost immediately is confirmed. When her body was discovered, it was found that her childhood friend had committed the murder and then tried to change her identity.

My 5 cents With a good Aussie cast and an intriguing yet shocking story I would want to see it, but that's because the film is closer to home. When it comes to Aussie films in American cinemas you can bet on a poor box office sales. With the exceptions of Australia and Wolf Creek, there have been many great Aussie flicks that don't transcend to Yankee dollars, Chopper, Rabbit Proof Fence, The Proposition, The Hard Word, etc.

Recommendation At $4, your getting perhaps an extra buck compared to what these ipo's usually go for, so a short call is pretty easy to make.

My 5 cents Haven't heard of the book series, but neither had I heard of Mr Potter or Twilight prior, the kiddies probably know it. Only stars and known names work with Spielberg so expect upcoming talented kids as the leads with a establish stars backing them up. Comparisons, Spy Kids, Agent Cody Banks, Harry Potter?

Recommendation No three words spell success like Spielberg, DreamWorks and Franchise. Although he's got alot on his plate, Saturday IPOs tend to adjust up and with a few of the recent surprise hits delisting shortly, traders will find they have some money freed up. BUY but keep an eye on it for the inventible drop. Spielbergs previous IPO's NTSTL were priced at H$40 back in 2007 and more importantly ABE $50 in 2002 are two others along with OLDBO that Speilberg will choose from after TINTN.

My 5 cents The last time I got this excited.... j/k. It was nominated for best Foreign Language Film at the Golden Globes and 007's Mr White does star in this.

Recommendation Short, but don't get burnt, keep an eye on it because there's not much gain for $2, and if it finds an audience you might be in trouble.

About The film will focus on a group of soldiers who engineered a grueling escape from a Siberian gulag (Soviet labour camp) in 1942, walking thousands of kilometers through the Gobi desert and over the Himalayas to India and freedom. Farrell plays a tough Russian prisoner, Harris an American, and Sturgess portrays a young Polish inmate meanwhile Ronan will play a young Russian girl who joins up with them. The film is based on the memoirs of Slavomir Rawicz. Comparisons are Defiance, Hart's War (also starred Farrell) and The Shawshank Redemption.
My 5 cents WWII has recently seen a resurgence at the box office as of late, seems that the big companies have finally realized the public aren't keep on Middle East inspired war flicks. Farrell is taking on good roles which we hope can transcend into box office sales, whereas Sturgess and Ronan are two bright young stars which will be tested with this material.

Recommendation Despite my interest of seeing this movie its a fact that Farrell has yet to really set the box office alight, a great performance with In Bruges was yet followed by another stinker in Pride and Glory. I can see it playing out like Defiance, so $18 feels very high and I would consider shorting. The cast and director do boost some quality so even an Oscar type release could be in the cards that normally means limited to eventually wide release-however if the leads don't handle the accents and seem genuine, the film could be a bust. About Story of Jacques Mesrine, a former military man who rose from the streets to become France’s biggest criminal during the 1970s. Part one of a two part story.

My 5 cents Considering most French films that get released in the states are romantic comedies, I for one am glad to see the French take on a gangster flick. Director Richet has done an action/thriller for the states before with the remake of Assault on Precinct 13, and like it has a attracted another very established and acclaimed cast. Australia's got Chopper, the Brits have Sexy Beast, and this hopefully should be France’s answer.

Recommendation With a like able cast and intriguing storyline I feel the film has a chance to do well stateside, but exactly where and when is the question so for now play the short, but don’t forget it.

About Based on the final confession from the most wanted man in the world, Nazi criminal Adolf Eichmann, before his execution in Israel as he accounts to a young Israeli Police Officer his past as the architect of Hitler's plan for the final solution 15 years after World War II. Eichmann must be broken down so the truth be told.

My 5 cents Hard not to think about today's shock tactics used on captured enemies and one suspects torture wasn't any lenient a couple of decades ago. Without a doubt Eichmann was a bad man, and deserve what he got and we're grateful he was caught, but I can't see too many people keen on watching this for two hours. Reviews have mentioned it could have worked better as a doco and many events have been fabricated. Comparisons, Valkyrie and The Pianist.

Recommendation Short, the films overall story feels limited in who will want to see this type of film. The cast for this type of movie does look good on paper however reviews have been marred due to their poor accents and the film seems to fall short of what its trying to accomplish.

About The British film In the Loop is a satire exploring how American and British politicians sold the Iraq invasion to the public

My 5 cents A primarily British film making fun of both governments with very colorful language and TV stars of both nations...doesn't exactly equate to box office gold. Nice to see Chlumsky with work however these satires are a hard sell especially as British humour does get lost on Americans and the array of late shows have milked these types of topics for the past few years. Believe the US public is looking forward not back. Comparisons are Wag the Dog, Primary Colors and Fahrenheit 9/11.

About Story of 70's Afro-American action legend Black Dynamite, a former CIA agent who is called back into the business when an Italian mob kills his brother. The trail leads back to The Man, who is also responsible for pumping heroin into local orphanages and flooding ghetto with adulterated malt liquor. Black Dynamite is the one hero willing to fight the man, in between making sweet sweet love to his lady friends, and will discover a vast conspiracy that leads all the way to the white house.

My 5 cents Spoofs seem to be multiplying in the previous couple of years, three in 2008, and the influx of them doesn't seem to be slowing. BDYNA seems to fall into this genre, but has elements to make it stand out. It won't be spoofing current films, but highlighting 70's classics of the blaxploitation era in no doubt a funky and psychedelic fly way. Comparisons are the recent spoofs of Epic Movie, Super-Hero Movie and Walk Hard while Undercover Brother, Pootie Tang and I'm gunna git u sucka have similar themes. Undercover Brother resembles the overall plot and theme, which did opened well but was fresh at the time and had familiar faces. On the other end of the scale Pootie Tang tanked at the box office but has become a cult figure since. Although the cast is so-so, alot of them have worked together and are familar faces of the 90's, Mykelti Williamson was Bubba in Forrest Gump, Bookem Woodbine had a number of action roles, R & B Artist Brian McKnight and even Arsenio Hall are amongst the cast.

Recommendation The fact that Sony purchased it at Sundance and is pretty much thinking a nationwide release assures me that it should make its price especially if it gets that summer spot. Talk of a franchise with the actors already signed up for a sequel also bodes well for investors plus the trailers are getting positive reactions. What does scare me is that it could be seen for a certain market, and may not cross over as the cast is not known to most movie goers and most youngn's haven't heard of blaxploitatian films. BUY

About Based on the personal journey of Canadian General Romeo Dallaire through the 1994 Rwanda genocide who was assigned to lead UN troops in Rwanda. He finds himself and his men negotiating between the Tutsi rebels, Hutu army and interhamwe militia in a very hostile and unforgiving battleground with little to no help from the United Nations who have ignored and turned their back on any sort of support. Dallaire gives his best efforts to help the poor people of Rwanda regardless of the UN's stance.

My 5 cents Hard to imagine that a big time 90's director with such blockbusters as The 6th Day and Tomorow Never Dies is now bringing us these low budget stories of human struggle and injustice. It seems the Rwanda tragedy through the eyes of the white man has been told already and done well with the likes of Hotel Rwanda and Shooting Dogs.

Recommendation With mostly an all Canadian cast and crew it will be a hard sell to the US public as most are no names. There have been a sleuth of these type of films and with the exception of Hotel Rwanda and The Last King of Scotland (which both had Hollywood star calibre attached) these films don't tend to make money. An easy short.

My 5 cents It's hard not to agree that outside the US the biggest story of 2009 has been the conflict in the Gaza. I feel naive, and embarrassed that I no little on the subject, but with these recent events now may be just time. It's touching to hear Molina went to them for the role.
Recommendation Short, cheap IPOs fall most of the time and with no release date and touchy material it makes the decision easier.
