About Story of 70's Afro-American action legend Black Dynamite, a former CIA agent who is called back into the business when an Italian mob kills his brother. The trail leads back to The Man, who is also responsible for pumping heroin into local orphanages and flooding ghetto with adulterated malt liquor. Black Dynamite is the one hero willing to fight the man, in between making sweet sweet love to his lady friends, and will discover a vast conspiracy that leads all the way to the white house.

My 5 cents Spoofs seem to be multiplying in the previous couple of years, three in 2008, and the influx of them doesn't seem to be slowing. BDYNA seems to fall into this genre, but has elements to make it stand out. It won't be spoofing current films, but highlighting 70's classics of the blaxploitation era in no doubt a funky and psychedelic fly way. Comparisons are the recent spoofs of Epic Movie, Super-Hero Movie and Walk Hard while Undercover Brother, Pootie Tang and I'm gunna git u sucka have similar themes. Undercover Brother resembles the overall plot and theme, which did opened well but was fresh at the time and had familiar faces. On the other end of the scale Pootie Tang tanked at the box office but has become a cult figure since. Although the cast is so-so, alot of them have worked together and are familar faces of the 90's, Mykelti Williamson was Bubba in Forrest Gump, Bookem Woodbine had a number of action roles, R & B Artist Brian McKnight and even Arsenio Hall are amongst the cast.

Recommendation The fact that Sony purchased it at Sundance and is pretty much thinking a nationwide release assures me that it should make its price especially if it gets that summer spot. Talk of a franchise with the actors already signed up for a sequel also bodes well for investors plus the trailers are getting positive reactions. What does scare me is that it could be seen for a certain market, and may not cross over as the cast is not known to most movie goers and most youngn's haven't heard of blaxploitatian films. BUY
