About The book follows a troubled young man (Dano) who gets a teaching job in New York City and ends up living with an "elderly eccentric" (Kline) who spends his time as "the extra man" for rich old women on the East Side.
My 5 cents Boosting a top notch cast for this type of work is a good sign but the material is a hard sell. Any project with part of tomkat is going to get publicity which should help but lead Kline no longer has the pulling power he used to and his previously attempts (Life as a House, Emperor's Club and De-Lovely) only made a little bit more than XTRAM's IPO price $13-15m. Comparisons are Rodger Dodger and Emperor's Club.
Recommendation Its been filmed now ready for a next year release and the cast and directors are star quality. The biggest question is how wide (and if) it will go. For the time being a short is the best option.
